Want to help solve community problems in Minneapolis? The Strong Mind Strong Body Foundation is leading a community solutions project with four community partners: the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA), Ella Baker Global Studies and Humanities School, World Savvy and ManUcan Consulting. We are developing this community solutions program with youth to help solve community problems in Minneapolis. Students (grades 6-8) will be part of a community solutions team composed of community leaders and local city stakeholders that includes residents, business owners, school staff, students, city councilmembers, MPD leaders, crime prevention specialists, and city leaders. We will provide youth with the training, tools and opportunity to be community problem-solvers and create positive change in the communities where they live, work and play.
The Strong Mind Strong Body Foundation is a nonprofit youth and family development organization. This community solutions program builds on work the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association did in 2022 with the Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute, Restorative Justice Community Action, and community leader Manu Lewis. The community solutions program draws inspiration from a neighborhood block club approach and provides a general framework for community building with the tools to create healthy communities. If you are interested in learning more about the community solutions program or being involved, please fill out the form below. Thank you for your time and feedback.
