The following is a list of areas OE Wolf Parents is involved around the school.  Please check any boxes of areas you would be interested in helping with or would just like to be kept in the loop or receive more information on,  as it becomes available.   Checking a box does not require a commitment from you, just shows us of your interest.  We appreciate any help from our parent community to help make OEHS a wonderful place for our students and staff!  Your ideas as we work through this challenging year will be greatly appreciated!

Wolf Parent Committees
All committees will appoint a representative.  Report back to the Wolf Parent Board on their projects.  Separate meetings times can be set for individual committees.  Communicate with Board on any issues, scheduling, coordination with school, etc.

Volunteer Communications:   Call and/or email parents to schedule volunteers for fundraisers, school staff requested activities and our main events (Senior Celebration, Blue Silver Bash).  Confirm /remind volunteers before each date.  Utilize Signup.com with OE Wolf Parents

Fundraising: Work on ideas for fundraising.  Work as a group to organize the fundraisers and break into smaller groups to handle each one if necessary.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation: Work on staff appreciation ideas.  Schedule monthly dates and include the November (National Education Week) and May (Teacher Appreciation Week) along with Holiday Grazing in December.  Other dates can be scheduled.

Concessions: Keep Commons concession stand organized and stocked for after school and special weekend concession dates.   Work with volunteer committee to make sure all dates are covered by both parents and students.  Key concession chairs will be needed to open or close each date.  Work on pricing and best items to sell. (Please note - this is different from sports concessions)

Teacher Wish Lists: Keep up with items requested by staff.  Utilize Amazon Wish List and update with teacher requests.  Help gather items and distribute to staff when acquired.  Work with local businesses and parents for donations to fulfill requests.

Blue-Silver Community Bash:   Gather raffle items and put together baskets.  Work with school clubs, boosters and athletics to enhance the event.  Kid’s zone, face painting.  Help to advertise and bring community and children to the event.  Work with feeder schools to acquire mascot costumes and promote event.  (This committee starts the planning stages early in the year and throughout the early summer months.)

Scholarship: Must consist of non-senior parents.  Help collect and review scholarships applications and essays and grade on a set rubric.  Gather parents and a few staff to review scholarships essays, which now can be done online.

Senior Celebration Event: Help plan an organize the end of the year lock-in party for the graduating class.  Plan fundraisers, solicit donations, plan entertainment, food, games, decorations and more.  Help us send the seniors out with a GRAND adventure!

Leader of the Wolf Pack Attacks Committee:  Help with the placement of sets of yard signs to honor the seniors.  Seniors can be nominated by anyone and our Wolf Pack attack teams will "attack" their yard with a dozen signs.  Signs will be moved to the next senior approximately every 3 days.  Attack team volunteers will work with a partner in an assigned territory.  Attacks will take place in the fall and spring as weather permits.

Social Media/Webmaster Committee: Help keep website, Facebook, Twitter pages updated with information about Oswego East.  Parents with students involved in different areas (ex. Sports, fine arts, industrial arts, robotics, etc.) are helpful in keeping the Wolf community updated!

Please check any areas you have interest in.  By checking a box, it does not commit you to that item, we will contact you with more information as you can decide where and when you can help! *
