Midterm Reflection and Self-Evaluation for LING331
Hi everyone!

As noted on the syllabus, for reasons of equity and in the interest of cultivating intrinsic motivation for learning I am generally opposed to traditional quantitative grades in favor of qualitative feedback and self-evaluation. The hope is this will help you work more organically, engaging with the challenges of the material for their own sake, rather than trying to tick boxes to get points.

At this point approximately halfway through the quarter, I'd like you to take a moment to reflect on your experience in the course so far. I take your learning seriously and ask you to take this midterm reflection seriously as well.

My goal is be very available and I encourage you now and always to contact me directly if you're concerned about your progress, have feedback about the course, or if something is not working for you.
