Hello research advocates! The Catalyst, founded summer of 2021, is an experimental research journal that hopes to reflect and promote our diverse student body. The goal of this journal is to foster collaborative and interdisciplinary creativity by engaging with all types of study, both traditional and nontraditional, and seeks to answer questions addressed by new research and new voices.
This is an interest form for both authors and editors who are interested in participating in next year's volume of The Catalyst.
Authors are undergraduate students who have some finished project they are interested in publishing.
Editors are typically graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. They are paired with an undergraduate student, and help them go through 3-4 stages of revision over the course of 2 quarters. This is a great, relatively low-effort opportunity to help undergraduates break into the world of research, and we are aiming to get the editor position CCR-accredited for extra formality on resumes/CVs.
