To be eligible to apply to be a Student Success Coach, you must be currently, or have been previously enrolled, in MFTS 365 or Psych 494: Current Approaches for Peer Assistance.

The Student Success Coach Application and the two Reference forms must be complete in order to be offered an interview.

Application is due Friday, October 30, 2020

General Information & Expectations

During the semester, coaches will have four hours per week (typically in 2-hour blocks) dedicated to meeting with students for coaching, managing student case files, etc. Additionally, coaches are required to participate in one hour of small group supervision and one hour of large group supervision each week. Supervision is led by a Licensed Psychologist and a Practicum Intern from the Center for Health and Wellness Promotion. All Student Success Coaches must enroll in PSYC 497: Applied Experience in Psychology (CRN 4267) or in MFTS 366: Applied Experience in Peer Assistance (CRN 1495) during the Spring 2021 semester for two academic units.

Student Success Coaches are required to participate in approximately eight hours of training prior to the beginning of coaching. Training dates are tentatively scheduled for the week of January ??
