Camp Bethel Summer Staff Application 2021 (For New Applicants)

ALLOW YOURSELF ENOUGH TIME TO THOROUGHLY FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION (~ 45 minutes).  We are accepting Senior Counselor and Coordinator applications now through May 24, and we will screen, interview and hire for these positions as applications are received on a first-come, first-hired basis.

*NOTE: With all the complexities of our summer working together, it would be greatly beneficial if all staff were vaccinated prior to employment.  For the safety of our coworkers and our campers, we would like you to strongly consider registering for the COVID vaccine (https://vaccinate.virginia.gov/).  If you have questions or concerns about this, let us know. 

**NOTE: Since our summer camps are for children and youth, no one convicted of any crime is permitted to work or volunteer at Camp Bethel during summer camps.

New Applicant Directions:
1.   BEFORE completing this application, read the updated 2021 Camp Bethel Summer Staff Information packet posted at www.CampBethelVirginia.org/summer-staff. Note the "COVID-19 Safety Adaptations and Policies" section of the packet.

2.  Email the Recommendation Form link (https://forms.gle/H3Eyj9jYQR35i6Vy6) to 3 persons recommending you:  [1 Employer/Teacher Reference, 1 Minister/Character Reference, and 1 Additional Character/Teacher Reference]. Do NOT use family members, friends, significant others, or current Camp Bethel staff as references. Your application is NOT complete and will not be reviewed until your 3 persons have submitted a recommendation for you. We suggest that all recommendations are returned within 2 weeks of the application. Be sure the persons filling out your references know what position you are applying for.

3.  Along with your application answers, email the following to CampBethelOffice@gmail.com: (1) a scan or digital photo of the front AND back of your driver's license, if you have one (if you do NOT have a driver's license, you must send a scan/image of a valid photo ID); (2) a scan or digital photo of any current certification cards, if applicable; (3) a recent photo of you; and, (4) if you are in high school a scan or image of your most recent report card to verify your minimum GPA of 2.5.

ALL time off and unpaid leave must be requested in writing PRIOR TO the beginning of training.
