Colorado Youth Leadership Forum  is transformative for youth 16-26 with disabilities. During the event, there are many classes and activities. We also host presenters who are driven by our goals. The goal of the event is to gain independence and experience for all of the attendees known as delegates. Each delegate represents their community across Colorado, building connections to further the independent living philosophy and access in their own communities. Ultimately, becoming leaders. Empowerment leads to more meaningful experiences through relationships, education, careers, and lives. We follow the event with a year-long mentorship for the delegates with an experienced member of the disability community to ensure the utmost support in developing individual leadership skills during the transition period for youth. We encourage the delegates turned alumni to stay involved in future YLF events, to event-plan, and to develop budgets and curricula for future delegates.
