This is Me in PNC
This is the form you will use to submit stories for the Pacific Northwest Conference Lenten Devotional "This is Me in the PNC."

This series is about the spiritual practice of story telling. Story telling can be a counter-cultural practice, especially when we strive to tell stories that are more real than they are polished. When we tell our stories, we practice compassion for the story teller, including when the teller is ourselves.  We tell our stories so that we can increase our capacity to hear the stories of others.

Everyone is a story teller. This form is an open invitation; not just to those who see themselves as writers or specific leaders in the PNC. Everyone has stories; you are invited to share one of yours here. The story you submit here should be your own, about your life or the life of your church. Ideally this is a story that is significant to you; it has meaning, the event changed you, it might even feel a bit vulnerable or risky to tell it. If it doesn't, then maybe pick a different story.

While this series is referred to as a devotional, it is not really about theologizing or preaching. It is an invitation to learn, grow from, and wrestle with actual stories rather than intellectual arguments. It is building the spiritual practice of listening and deepening relationships. Telling and listening really does change us, and the world. Trust the practice.

(Aim for 200-400 words. Expect that there might be some light editing and/or formatting to your submission.)
