We'll be connecting interested members in sub-groups/committees during October for the coming 2023 year (including 2022 Holiday Charities) and ongoing for new members as you join! Please indicate what you'd like to be involved in here--we do ask that every member choose at least one but feel free to choose as many as you'd like! (keep in mind, you'll be automatically added so don't over stress yourself!)

Holiday Charities

Organizing incoming data from social workers (wishlists, enrollment, etc)

Coordinating shopping for select groups that JWL shops for (not the ones our networks take on)

Other general support (not including sponsoring children--which is very appreciated but an individual member activity across the organization

Community Outreach (General)

Contacting and developing relationships/partnerships with social workers, non-profit organizations

Lift Fund committee (review requests, help with verifying information, etc)

Event planning (educational for social workers, third party referrers - not fundraising focused)

Charitable Children Fund committee (develop relationships, increase awareness, work alongside Fundraising committee)

JJWL

Administrative Support (documenting volunteer hours, sign up forms, issuing certificates)

Program Planning (finding monthly opportunities for JJWL members to volunteer)

On-Site Volunteer Support (attending/overseeing members at one or more JJWL event during the year)

Asst Chair / Co-Chair (get involved in all things JJWL!)

Spring Luncheon

Event/Venue Planning (location selection, menu, date, table assignments, designers/theme, etc)

Speakers / Presentations (Video, JWL promotional, Scholarship Support)

Grants Committee (find/apply for grants from relevant organizations)

Camp for Kids

Outreach to and organizing incoming data from social workers

Coordinate with local camps / schedule campers

General support (get involved in all the things!)

Backpacks for Success

Organize school supply lists and orders

Coordinate with town and partner non-profit organizations

Plan and coordinate Backpack Stuffing Day and Distribution/Delivery Day logistics

Solicit / confirm sponsorships for supplies / backpacks

Scholarships

YIP Award Committee - Contact school guidance counselors, promote on social, help review applications and determine winner

Healthcare Scholarship Committee - Contact healthcare programs at local colleges / increase awareness
