We are currently booking Meals with Meaning dates for February 2024 and beyond.
1. Meals with Meaning - a weekly volunteer opportunity that takes place each Wednesday from 9am to 12pm at the SHA warehouse at 970 Jefferson St NW, Atlanta GA 30318. Volunteers build kits assembly-line style, seal them up, and pack them in boxes for delivery. The 2,000 packed meal kits will then be distributed directly to folks experiencing food insecurity in Atlanta. If you would like to bring a group to Meals with Meaning, please select a Wednesday date below that works for your entire group.
2. Snackpacking Event - for groups who are not available on Wednesdays, we also offer an option to pack snackpacks, which include a beverage (water, juice, tea) and five additional items such as crackers, pretzels, veggie straws/chips, protein, fruit, or granola bars, dried fruits, fruit cups, or applesauce. All items must be purchased by group, as well as gallon-size ziploc bags. Include how long your group is seeking to volunteer below and we can give you an estimate on how many packs you can create in that time. Snackpacking events can be held in our space or at your offices, but table space and a room must be available. This is a great opportunity for groups seeking to make an big impact, but on a more flexible schedule.
