The National Campus Championship Series Committee was formed June 2006 and renamed to NIRSA Championship Series Committee in 2013. This committee reports to the NIRSA Services Corporation Board.
A position on the NIRSA Championship Series Committee is an honor and a privilege. With a position comes responsibility to fulfill duties and obligations in the highest professional manner, while upholding the mission, goals, objectives, and ideals of the NIRSA Championship Series Committee, NIRSA, and NSC. NIRSA Championship Series Second Vice Chair Expectations:
• Commitment to serve a three-year term of office (Second Vice-Chair, Vice Chair, Chair)
• Maintain NIRSA membership in good standing throughout the term
• Term will officially begin June 1, 2024. With opportunities to participate starting after acceptance.
• Attend and participate in weekly (hour and a half) video call with Series Executive Team.
Encouraged to join these meetings before official term starts.
• Attend and participate monthly (hour and a half) video meetings with Series Exec and other Series Committees
• Availability to attend and participate in, annual meeting held in June. Virtually over the course of the entire month (5-6 meetings).
• Availability to attend and participate in, annual meeting held in June/July. In-person with other executive team members for 3-4 days.
• Unrestricted access to the Internet and good working knowledge of email and Internet programs
• Confirmation/acknowledgment from supervisor and home Institution (employer) of support for volunteer service on the NIRSA Championship Series committee.

A Nominating Committee comprised of a NSC Board member, NIRSA Championship Series Committee chair, and NIRSA Director of National Sport Programs will propose a candidate to the current NSC Board.
