"Artists & Elements - Part 1" Course Overview:
- We will study the theory and techniques of the first three elements of art: shape, texture, and color.
- This course will highlight artists from different time periods as they apply to the elements we are studying.
- Students will apply their knowledge of the art elements learned through the use a variety of mediums including: watercolor, tempera, acrylic, pencil, ink, painted paper, clay, etc.
- Independent practice and response/reflection tasks will be assigned at the end of each session to be completed at home and brought back to the following session.
Course Details:
- $216/student (18 hours x $12/ hour)
- course fee is due at the time of registration
- course fee may be paid in full or in three monthly installments
- there is a 10% discount each for sibling groups
- course fee includes ALL supplies
- 12 week course

- There are no refunds for missed classes. If your student misses a class, we will do our best to provide make-up work and art supplies to complete the missed projects.
- If the instructor becomes ill and is not able to hold class, a substitute instructor may fill in. If a substitute is not available, an extra make-up class may be added to the end of the term.
