Monday - Thursday from 3:45pm - 5:45pm:
                                                                  (October 16, 2023 - December 7, 2023) Fall Semester  
                                                                  (January 8, 2024 - May 9, 2024) Spring Semester

Mon & Wed: Math & Science tutoring (Non-EOC courses), Credit Recovery and L.U.N.G.E. activities
Tues & Thurs: ELA & Social Studies tutoring (Non-EOC courses), Credit Recovery, and L.U.N.G.E. activities
Tues - Thurs: AP Tutoring (Rotating schedule)
Tues: English Language Learners (ELL) specific ELA tutoring 

**Tutoring sessions will last for 2hrs each day.

Spots available on a first come basis, as space is limited.

Transportation sign-up is no longer available for the remainder of this school year. Students who registered by March 12th, will be added to the afterschool bus route by March 26th.

Coordinators will provide confirmation of bus transportation prior to the start of L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program activities.

Welcome to the L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy In-Person Program

The L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program aims to provide necessary academic support to help students improve their overall literacy skills across all content areas. Through the creativity and collaboration of teachers, staff, and community partners, the L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program will offer academic tutoring, Credit Recovery, a variety of L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy activities, and more. Welcome to the fun!

The L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program at NHS is offering in-person support, enrichment, and academic assistance. ALL STUDENTS are welcome to participate in the program, but registration is based on first come first serve. By completing this registration form, parents/guardians and students will have access to non-EOC tutoring sessions, as well as, access to join participating L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy activities. Please be mindful that registration does NOT guarantee admittance to all in-person portions of the L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program, as space is limited.

Participants of selected activities offered by the L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program will be determined by the site coordinators and group sponsors. 

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:
All NHS students are eligible to participate in the L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program. Space and resources are limited, so the registration will cut off after the 1st 100 students during the Fall 2023 semester.

PROGRAM DATES:
In-person programming for Fall semester begins on Monday, October 16, 2023 and will end on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 3:45pm - 5:45pm. Spring semester dates will start on Monday, January 8, 2024 and end on Thursday, May 9, 2024 Sessions will take place Monday-Thursday of each week, except during scheduled school breaks/holidays.

PROGRAM TIMES/SCHEDULE:
The majority of activities offered will be listed on our monthly calendar found at (https://nhslungeintoliteracy.weebly.com/). All in-person activities may vary in times provided and are subject to change. All in-person sessions will be offered only at times noted in the daily schedule.

PROGRAM SUPPLIES:
Some supplies needed to complete activities may be provided by the participating clubs/organizations/groups. The majority of activities will use at-home and basic school supplies.

ACADEMIC SESSIONS:
Teachers will be available during their scheduled session from 3:45pm - 4:45pm for In-Person tutoring sessions on Monday - Thursday. 

COMMUNICATION:
In order to monitor engagement, program staff may call to check in with students and families at various times throughout the program.

DAILY ATTENDANCE:
Students will be expected to be present on the days that they have registered. They will be expected to sign-in on the attendance sheet during each session to monitor student participation/attendance.

MULTIPLE REGISTRANTS:
If a family has more than one student registering, a separate registration form must be completed for each student.

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS:
By registering for the L4GA L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program, students/families are expected to:
1. Participate as much as possible. Daily attendance is not required, but encouraged.
2. Be present for daily attendance taken by supervising teachers/coordinator. (Completion of a daily attendance is crucial to provide data for accountability.)
3. Follow district, school, and L.U.N.G.E. into Literacy Program policies.
4. Have fun!

TRANSPORTATION:
Students requesting afterschool bus transportation home are expected to be in attendance for the full tutoring session ending at 5:45pm. Students needing to leave a tutoring session early, must have their own designated transportation to pick them up at that time.

The next transportation start date will be on March 11th, for those students who have registered between February 5th - March 4th. Students are welcome to attend tutoring, but will need to have their own transportation, until they are added to the afterschool bus routes on March 4th.
