Code of Conduct
Parents/Players
We will act as positive role models by showing good sportsmanship and positive support for all players, coaches, opponents, and game officials.
We will never place the value of winning over the safety and welfare of players. This includes being encouraging to one another even when mistakes are made. We all make our share of mistakes and must support one another.
We will refrain from criticizing or approaching game officials (coaches and/or committee members will be the only ones to speak with officials.)
We will emphasize that the game is played for fun and for the benefit of development.
We will support coaches and game officials who volunteer and spend valuable time with WASP.
We will refrain from asking coaches questions for at least 24 hours after a game or practice. This acts as a way for all parties to “cool down” and think about what they want/need to say and allows us to not act inappropriately in the heat of the moment.
We will lead by example, showing respect to all soccer fields and facilities by cleaning up after ourselves.
Players will arrive to all practices and games wearing the appropriate attire (cleats, shin guards, and socks.) If they do not have this gear, they will not play.
We understand that this is a team sport and when my child is late or absent from practices/games it does not just affect my child, but the whole team.
-If a child has more than 4 unexcused absences from practices or 2 absences from games, my child will be removed from the team.
-2 unexcused tardies will equal 1 absence.

By signing the Washington Area Soccer Program Code of Conduct, I pledge to uphold the above statements. If at any time during the season I break the Code of Conduct, I will accept the consequences deemed appropriate by the Washington Area Soccer Program Board or Iowa Soccer League.

• Actuaremos como modelos positivos, mostrando buen espíritu deportivo y apoyo positivo para todos los jugadores, entrenadores, oponentes y oficiales del juego.
• Nunca pondremos el valor de ganar sobre la seguridad y el bienestar de los jugadores. Esto incluye ser animoso entre sí, incluso cuando se cometen errores. Todos cometemos errores y debemos apoyarnos mutuamente.
• Nos abstendremos de criticar o acercarnos a los oficiales del juego (los entrenadores y/o los miembros del comité serán los únicos que hablan con los oficiales).
• Nos enfocaremos en qué este deporte se juega por diversión y para el beneficio del desarrollo.
• Apoyaremos a los entrenadores y oficiales del juego que se ofrecen voluntariamente y pasen un tiempo valioso con WASP.
• Nos abstendremos de hacer preguntas a los entrenadores por lo menos 24 horas después de un partido o práctica. Esto actúa como una forma para que todas las partes "se calmen" y piensen en lo que quieren/necesitan decir y nos permiten no actuar inapropiadamente en el calor del momento.
• Daremos el ejemplo, mostrando respeto a todos los campos de fútbol e instalaciones limpiando después de nosotros mismos.
• Los jugadores llegarán a todas las prácticas y juegos con el vestimenta adecuado (tacos, espinilleras, y calcetines). Si no tienen este equipo adecuado, no jugarán.
• Entendemos que este deporte es en equipo y que cuando mi hijo/a llega tarde o se ausenta de las prácticas/juegos no sólo afecta a mi hijo/a sino a todo el equipo.
-Si mi hijo/a tiene más de 4 ausencias injustificadas de prácticas o 2 ausencias de juegos, mi hijo/a ya no formara parte del equipo.
-2 tardanzas sin excusa equivaldrán a 1 ausencia.

Al firmar el Código de Conducta del Programa de Fútbol del Área de Washington me comprometo a mantener las declaraciones anteriores. Si en cualquier momento de la temporada rompo el Código de Conducta, aceptaré las consecuencias que la Junta del Programa de Fútbol de Washington o la Liga de Fútbol de Iowa considere apropiadas.
