The Design, Build, and Fly Team is a group of driven students who share a common passion for aviation and engineering. Through our student-initiated courses, we aim to provide a platform for students to expand their knowledge, develop practical skills, and engage in collaborative projects within the aviation field.
In this semester, our student-initiated courses will provide student opportunity o embark on a journey of aviation exploration and hands-on learning, including flight simulation experience, RC drone building workshop and CAD/CAM workshop.
On the other hand, our members are currently actively participating in two prestigious aviation competitions: 'The AIAA Foundation Design/Build/Fly (DBF) competition (AIAA)' and the 'British Model Flying Association 2024 University and Schools Flight Challenges (BMFA)'. These competitions provide an incredible opportunity for helpers to gain firsthand experience and knowledge while assisting us in our working progress. Moreover, being involved in these competitions will also give helpers a head start in preparing for their MECH4429 capstone project, enabling them to gain valuable insights and skills at an early stage.
