Wind. Fire. Water. These biblical symbols of the Holy Spirit communicate both gentleness and power- the gentleness of a cool breeze or a warm fire and the power of a hurricane or blazing forest fire.
But do I know the Holy Spirit as someone real in my life? Have I experienced His power or His gentleness as the Apostles did at Pentecost?
Fr. Emmanuel, CFR is a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal who lives in NYC serving the poor and preaching the Gospel with passion and humor. At the age of 18 he was changed by a radical encounter with the Holy Spirit – his own personal Pentecost.
