Hello, and thank you for your interest in the San Antonio Gender Association Discord Server! The purpose of this space is community members to socialize, support one another, and share resources.

We welcome all gender diverse and intersex people in San Antonio and the surrounding areas to join this server.

In order to maintain a safe and inclusive space, we ask that you fill out the following questionnaire and agree to follow our Rules and Guidelines. Once you've filled out the form, a SAGA officer will review your entry and send you an email with a one time use link to the SAGA Discord Server.

Why do you want to join the SAGA Discord server? *

This is a Safe Space. We want to build a community space where everyone feels comfortable being themselves as well as being safe from harassment, discrimination, or harm. Please read and agree to follow the guidelines below.

Ask for consent. Have an active dialogue with people about their comfort level. Consent is an ongoing discussion: never assume! We are an “Only ‘Yes’ Means Yes” group. Victim-blaming is not tolerated.

Use Content Warnings to the best of your ability. If you think what you are about to share could be potentially distressing, be sure to include a content warning on the subject so members can choose how they want to participate, if at all.

Respect people’s boundaries and privacy. This includes preferred names and pronouns! Not everyone is comfortable sharing everything about their transitions or lives, and it is important we understand that.

Keep it PG-13. As a community that revolves around sexual and gender identity, our discussions will tend to be more frank surrounding the human body than the general population. That being said, this server is not intended for explicit content for it to remain a Safe Space.

This is a body and sex positive group! Zero shaming tolerated.

Unless it is specifically related to our community, keep political discussion to a minimum.

Assume best intentions. Not everybody has the lingo or nuance down yet, and that’s okay! Sometimes we make mistakes and tread on each other’s toes, but we can have that discourse with compassion. If there is a problem that you can’t resolve on your own, please reach out to a mod.

If you are comfortable, please change your nickname to reflect your preferred name and pronouns. If you don’t know how, please see the FAQ section below.

No illegal activities. This includes but isn’t limited to: 21+ folks offering to buy alcohol for minors; asking for / offering personal medication; talk of selling/buying illicit substances.

When in doubt, message or email an admin. If you are having trouble following these guidelines, feel free to reach out to a mod for suggestions. Mods can mediate conflicts between members. Repeated violations will result in two warnings, a suspension, and then a ban.

Members may face disciplinary action, up to and including ban from the server and meetings, if they violate numerous policies or it is proven that they are actively harmful to other members of the community.
