Cleveland DSA canvasses to fight evictions every other Saturday (1-4pm), starting at 3631 Perkins Ave Cleveland, OH 44114. Members also follow up with tenants on the phone as their hearing date approaches to encourage them to attend their hearing and help them navigate the court system, you can sign up for either phone banking or the canvass with this form!

We gather at the parking lot at the canvass starting time and the first thing we do is start the training. Plenty of parking spots! In addition to getting a training, new canvassers will be paired with experienced canvassers so that nobody goes out alone!
During the canvasses we knock on tenants' doors in Cleveland who are being evicted to provide information and resources about how to fight the eviction. We believe housing is a human right!
