Microfinance Crash Course - REGISTRATION FORM
The LSESU Financial Inclusion Society is excited to announce the return of its flagship Annual Microfinance Crash Course!

This crash course is taught by Sadrudin Akbarali, a former Senior Programme Manager with the AGA Khan Agency for Microfinance. Sadru has over 30 years of experience in microfinance, having developed, supervised, and advised financial and enterprise institutions in 21 countries!

This year's crash course will be structured as 4 consecutive weeks of teaching, with a case study towards the end to bring all that you have learnt together. The current course structure is as follows:
  • Week 1: Understanding Microfinance and Financial Inclusion
  • Week 2: Evolution of the Variety of Microfinance Entities Over Many Decades and Types of Entities Prevalent at Present
  • Week 3: The Importance of Financial Statements and Measurements of Performance
  • Week 4: Case Study and Way Forward - Opportunities & Challenges
We will be running the course every Thursday from November 10th until December 1st. The timings and dates for our sessions are as follows:
  • November 10th: 4.30 - 6.00pm | PAN.3.04 (Pankhurst House, Floor 3, Room 3.04)
  • November 17th: 4.30 - 6.00pm | 32L.LG.18 (32 Lincoln's Inn Fields, Lower Ground, Room LG.18)
  • November 24th: 4.30 - 6.00pm | PAN.3.04 (Pankhurst House, Floor 3, Room 3.04)
  • December 1st: 4.30 - 6.00pm | (TBD)
Certificates will be awarded after the final session to all those that attend all 4 sessions and complete the course.
