Position Title: Community Partnerships (CP) Committee Member
Positions Available:
Description:
The IMAGINE Clinic is a health clinic that is organized and operated by U of T students from various professional health programs. It is a free walk-in clinic that is open every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm (except holidays). The clinic is open to all patients, but our focus is serving those without OHIP, those without citizenship/residence status, and those living in marginalized conditions. On any given day, the clinic has a multidisciplinary team of students in preceptors from the following professions: medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and social work.
Role:
Over the years, the Community Partnerships branch of the IMAGINE clinic has developed standing relationships with local shelters and community agencies to plan regular visits and activities. This includes conducting a needs assessment for each site and maintaining communication with site leads on a regular basis. Traditionally, as a Community Partnerships volunteer, individuals would be expected to attend and help facilitate 1-2 events a month at one of our partner organizations. The events are centred around promoting a sense of well being amongst participants. This year, with consideration of rules and restrictions regarding COVID-19, general volunteers may be offered the opportunity to participate in virtual or in-person events. Some of the general responsibilities of volunteers may include contacting organizations, aiding them with their projects, promoting IMAGINE clinic’s services to patients in need, and collaborating with other IMAGINE committees (ex. Health promotions, advocacy).
Instructions:
1. We encourage you to draft your responses in a separate document as your work will not auto-save.
2. If you are applying to more than 1 committee, we recommend that you do not apply for more than 2 positions.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with IMAGINE!
