Center for Interfaith Dialogue UW-Madison, 2024-2025 Application
Do you want to learn about different faiths and how they relate to your own? Do you want to connect with people of different religious and secular backgrounds and grow together through interfaith conversations, shared study, and contemplative practice? Visit religious sites and advocate for interfaith issues on campus? Develop self-awareness and dialogue skills for campus and life after college? If so, apply here to be selected as a Center for Interfaith Dialogue Student Fellow.

In order to be considered for the program, you must be an undergraduate student in good standing at UW-Madison, registered for the entire academic year 2024-25, and enrolled for at least six credits each semester. You must commit to attend the Interfaith Fellows regularly scheduled weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:15 PM. These meetings are led by CID Director Dr. Ulrich Rosenhagen with support from the Center's Program Coordinators.

The average commitment time for the Fellowship is approximately 5 hours per week. The exact hours and experiences will vary from week to week. All Fellows will receive a $1,500 stipend for the year.

We are also looking to hire two Administrative Fellows who, in addition to actively engaging with the dialogue group, will also help CID staff with planning, administering and marketing Center for Interfaith Dialogue events. The Administrative Fellows will work approximately 5 hours a week additionally and will receive a $3,000 stipend. If you want to be considered for the Administrative Fellowship position, you'll have the chance to indicate below.

Our Fellows will be highly motivated, independent, thoughtful, and capable of engaging people of different (or no) religious backgrounds with both candor and sensitivity. You need not belong to any formally established religious institution or hold any particular beliefs in order to apply.

For more information and to meet the current Fellows, feel free to attend our Wednesday, April 17 CID meeting in 315 Pyle. It's a great chance to ask questions!

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply by 8:00 PM on Friday, April 26.

Students chosen for the program will be notified by Dr. Rosenhagen by noon on Friday, May
