Dorothy F. Johnson Park Grant Opportunity
Parks should be a place where residents of all ages can engage in healthy, outdoor activities and gather safely for family-friendly fun. In the spirit of making park space more accessible in our cities, the state of California made competitive grant funding available from the California Department of Parks and Recreation in order to improve existing parks and create new parks.
The Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) is pursuing a grant to renovate the Dorothy F. Johnson Park. A key part of the process is to engage with the community surrounding the park to ensure that the grant application will include the feedback and priorities of those who will use it most. Your participation is essential to helping us submit a strong grant application.
