BSidesSD is a low-cost, volunteer-run event. We thank our speakers with badges, t-shirts, gifts, and respect, but don't typically have budget for travel expenses.

Details:

BSides is a unique mix of the security community, spanning newcomers to veterans. The goal is to run a local conference that bring world-class content to San Diego, but at the same time gives locals and newcomers the opportunity to present their work in a local, lower-stress environment.

We hope to have a mix of 20-minute talks, 50-minute talks, events/contests, and 2+hour workshops.

Level Up talks are not recorded, open to new and first time speakers, and encourage feedback from attendees so our new speakers can Level Up.  Story Mode talks are recorded, open to all speakers to discuss impactful topics that are relevant to the local community.  Training Mode is for teachers, facilitators, and trainers to educated the masses.
