Chorus is Canfield's singing group that meets once a week in the morning. If you child enjoys singing and like singing in a group then please encourage then to sign up for chorus. We sing fun and engaging songs, add a little choreography, and even get to perform.
The chorus meets
TUESDAY MORNINGS before school in the music room. Students are expected to arrive no earlier than 7:40am so that we can begin on time. Students should enter through the Main Entrance door by the Main Office.
Students in grade 4, 5, & 6 are eligible to join. Students do need to attend in order to perform in our concerts and attend our field trips. Multiple absences will result in your child not being allowed to perform.
As you may know, singing is very rewarding but it is also a great challenge. I will have recordings of the songs and lyrics on my website so students can practice at home. During the first few weeks you can be a big help by having your child sing in front of the family. It will help them be less nervous for our concert in December.
Encourage your child to practice every day. The songs are a lot of fun so feel free to sing along with them and learns the songs as well. Please monitor their practice time and ask them to sing for you.
