This scholarship opportunity provides diverse, beginning fly fishing students, with fly fishing lessons and financial assistance as they explore their interest in fly fishing and gain a better understanding of fly fishing, conservation, and reading water during an all-inclusive weekend trip in the beautiful state of Virginia.
This scholarship is created for women-identifying fly fishing students 18 years or older, who either (1) are a member of a diverse group (broadly defined to include race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity, physical disability, or economic/educational disadvantage) that is historically underrepresented in the outdoors and fly fishing sport; or (2) demonstrate a long-standing commitment to diversity that will be furthered by the award of the scholarship.
