Petition to Oppose Old Town BISD
By completing this form, you state that you do NOT support the "Business Improvement Service District" (BISD) as it is proposed and urge the City Council to oppose it. Old Town Alexandria is a brand that other jurisdictions want to emulate because of its history and unique businesses. There has not been enough time for the affected community to truly study the BISD. There is no transparency regarding the funds and objectives of the BISD, as well as a lack of good faith effort to gather the viewpoints of all the affected business and property owners. We urge the City Council to oppose the BISD ordinance and the 10% additional tax rate increase.
