What are Suicide Suppers?
  • A small, facilitated conversation over a meal
  • An opportunity to be in community with others who understand complex, conflicting feelings
  • A chance to be served a warm meal, made with love and care
  • A non-medical space
  • An opportunity to talk, and for feelings to be released from the body in a healthy way
What aren't Suicide Suppers?
  • Not a space for people in active crisis
  • Not a space for medical advice
  • Not a space for continued support outside of these dinners
  • Not medical counseling
  • Not a support group
How do I attend a Suicide Supper?

  • Suppers are planned once a month for the next 6 months. Each meal is limited to 8 guests.
  • We will work our way through the registration list, inviting everyone once before repeating. We ask that if you commit to a seat, you do attend. You are important.
  • Below are a list of Agreements of the Space, if circumstances change for you and you are not in a place to meet these agreements or attend the dinner you were signed up for, you will be added to the attendee list for the next supper.
  • If after reading through this intro, the Suicide Suppers feel like a good fit please complete the registration below.

What can I expect at Suicide Suppers?

  • When you arrive at the location in South Seattle, you'll be asked to either provide a Negative COVID test or take a test before entering the space with a negative result. We will have rapid tests available. We are dedicated to making this space accessible for community, especially for our immunocompromised community members, this is a precaution we are taking for an in person space to be as safe as we can make it while navigating an ongoing pandemic.
  • When you're ready to enter the space, ground yourself before coming in with a few deep breaths and movement.
  • Over appetizers we will share a poem, the boundaries for the space, community wishes, and introductions.
  • We offer a variety of conversational prompts, though conversations may also take their own direction, led by the attendees.
  • We will work to close the thickest part of our conversation before the last course of the meal, leaving time to gather ourselves before leaving.
  • We ask people to plan for Seattle traffic, wrong turns, and slow drivers. Please be on time!
