Online research symposium on Artificial Intelligence for Early Career Researchers and PhD students
This online symposium is being jointly hosted by ASIS&T AI SIG and the European Chapter.

We are inviting ECR and PhD student ASIS&T members to propose short presentations for a symposium on Artificial Intelligence, through this form. 

The event will be held online on Monday 25th March 2024, 1-3 PM UK time

Initial deadline for proposals was 26th February 2024. We are extending the deadline for a further ten days till 11 March.
Notification of acceptance by 4th March 2024.
Registration is open online, with a deadline of 21st March 2024. Free to ASIS&T members. $5 for students; $10 for others.
Online symposium 25th March 2024.

A best presentation award will be made.

Topics of interest include:

  • User experiences of AI in everyday life and work
  • AI applications in libraries, archives and other information environments
  • AI ethics and responsible use
  • Generative AI
  • AI and knowledge discovery
  • AI literacy
  • AI in education

Criteria for selection will be based on: relevance of approach to LIS audience; interest of the AI theme chosen; importance of findings; use of literature; choice of appropriate methodology (for empirical papers).
