3 Gear Games Season RPG Program (June 2025- August 2025)
The Old Country burns under the flames of civil war. Refugees flee to the Borderlands in droves, lands previously relegated to the desperate, the deranged, or the monstrous. Ancient lands of dark secrets and hidden dangers. Once, these lands were under the shadow of a terrible figure known as the Weird Wizard. A spellcaster of unparalleled arcane knowledge and might that reality bent to his whims. Through him wonders and nightmares were wrought.
The Wizard has vanished, his whereabouts unknown, but his creations remain. Hidden vaults of arcane mysteries, grand mechanical contraptions, and hordes of nightmarish beasts. These unclaimed lands are not for the weak, but luck and opportunity shall provide for the bold. In such dark times and places, the call for heroes has never felt greater.
Shadow of the Weird Wizard is a variant D20 system from Schwalb Entertainment (makers of Shadow of the Demon Lord) that plays like a combination of Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. This game shall be one of grim dark fantasy and horror.
The players will create Novice level characters and explore the Borderlands. Their actions and goals will shape the progression of the story. What they quest for, who they save, and what they hope to achieve will open the lands before them.
I try to be a fair GM, following the rules but allowing for the "rule of cool". I allow for creativity and ingenuity, the dice may say otherwise but I at least allow the chance.Date: Every Other Sunday
