We spend a lot of time with plants and the natural world, but we also spend a lot of time with people. Jesse, Athena, and other interns on the farm, customers at market, friends, neighbors, children, and people attending our community potluck dinners. How do you feel about social interactions? *
We are looking for folks who are mentally and emotionally stable, reliable, drama-free, punctual, friendly, kind to others and to themselves, resilient, adaptable, curious, serious/funny, hard working/relaxed, and genuinely interested in learning how to farm. Is this you? *
This internship may require you to lift items weighing 50lbs or more, and work long, physical days outside in all weather and temperatures. Summer will be seriously hot sometimes, and early Spring will be quite cold/wet/windy sometimes. We remove many pest insects by hand, do lots of squatting/standing, and walking/carrying on uneven ground . Do you have any concerns about your physical/mental ability to engage in this type of work? *
