Democracy moves: socio-political participation of refugee women from Ukraine

The project aims for 60 refugee women from Ukraine to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about German democracy and the related political and civil society structures. 

Criteria for participants in the Democracy moves Project:

  • You should be a Ukrainian woman under 35 who had to flee from war in Ukraine. Today you should be  living in Berlin.
  • You should have experience with social/political activism in Ukraine.
  • You are interested in civic education and are motivated to get to know the political system, and opportunities for participation in Germany.
  • You have a positive attitude towards democratic structures and want to be active in politics and civil society, in Germany or the Ukraine in the future (through networks, NGOs or initiatives etc.).
  • You are aiming to enhance your leadership and presentation skills. 
  • You are ready to be committed to participating in 2  4-days workshops and a networking event which will be held from  October 2022 till January 2023 in Berlin.
