Research Advisory Board: Call for Self-Nominations

The work of the NNA Community Office (NNA-CO; https://nna-co.org) will be guided by two advisory boards—a Research Advisory Board and an Indigenous Advisory Board. We invite self-nominations from currently funded NNA PIs and Co-PIs to serve on our Research Advisory Board. This board will consist of five current NNA PIs/Co-PIs, three external experts (non-NNA investigators), and interested members of the NNA-CO Indigenous Advisory Board.

The Research Advisory Board will provide overall strategic guidance for the NNA-CO’s plans and activities to support the NNA Community. In addition, the board will: (1) identify and advise on strategic engagement opportunities with the broader research community, decision-makers and policymakers, and other local, state, Tribal, national, and international partners; and (2) advise on research integration and synthesis and assist in identifying and advising the NNA-CO’s future Convergence Research Working Groups.

Board members will be asked to serve a two-year term and participate in three board meetings each year, one of which will coincide with the NNA community annual meeting.

Selection of board members will take place later this spring. We aim to build a Research Advisory Board that represents a diverse community by considering the following criteria for nominations:

-- Geography of represented NNA research
-- Career stage
-- Gender identity
-- Ethnic and racial identity
