Empowering School Curricula w/MIStudentsDream
The School Culture Committee, a 482Forward Action Team, is organizing educators across the district to create and implement content curricula that serves to educate, represent and empower our students. We are hoping to create a Civics curriculum with an ethnic studies lens that focuses on Detroit history and policy.

The purpose of the town hall is about uplifting teacher’s concerns about the current curricula broadly and the need for anti-racism in our district curriculum. We would like to showcase educators’ stances so that we can highlight the need for DPSCD’s School Board to make anti-racism a priorities in the district's curriculum. We plan to host our town hall via Facebook Live later this spring. We would greatly appreciate your input.

By completing this survey, your name will be put into a raffle and we will choose 3 educators to receive a book on Ethnic Studies and its practices in the classroom.
