9-12 WELDING CLASS: This is a basic welding class covering the topics of welding safety and PPE and hands-on learning of Arc (stick) welding, and MIG (wire) welding on common weld joints. Also, any student that was in Ag Science I or Ag Construction will have the opportunity to make up the welding units missed during the school year and finish up incomplete projects. Students will be required to bring in some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this class: long sleeve 100% cotton shirt, 100% cotton long pants (jeans), and high top leather boots. School provided PPE includes safety glasses, welding helmets, gauntlet leather gloves, and hearing protection. Students will be expected to wear PPE at all times and adhere to all safety rules.
9-12 FIND YOUR VOICE: This creative writing course will help students find their unique poetic voice through the art of spoken word poetry. This class will focus on fostering skills in writing, emotional expression, and public speaking. The goal of this course will be not only to provide students with the confidence to speak in front of their peers, but it will also provide them with the necessary tools to express their thoughts and emotions in a healthy and creative way.
