Youth Camp will operate from 3:00pm on Friday, August 5th - 7:30pm on Saturday, August 6th.


Camp Code of Conduct

We want Youth Camp for Climate Action to be a safe, inviting and inclusive place for everyone, so we ask that you follow our code of conduct.
1. Treat everyone with respect
2. Do not touch others without their consent
3. Stay in the campground area after dark
4. No solo hiking or swimming. Always let your team lead know where you're going.
5. Because we want to set a good and healthy example for our underage campers, we insist that no alcohol, drugs (including marijuana) or tobacco be allowed on the premises. If you must smoke or vape tobacco, please leave the camp area for the parking lot or other paved area away from other campers.
6. Keep a positive and open attitude, try new things, and have fun!

Role descriptions:
Supply runner: On-call or on-site driver ready to go get any materials needed

Check in table: Greet campers arriving at the parking lot, check them in, and get them nametags, be present for at least check in

Tent setup: Demonstrate and assist campers in setting up tents, be present for at least tent set up

Overnight watch: Stay awake overnight (10pm - 7am) or in shifts coordinated with the other volunteers, supervising the campsite while everyone else sleeps

Lunch chef: Prepare a vegan, gluten free meal for all campers (aim to cook for 20 people)

Dinner chef: Prepare a vegan, gluten free meal for all campers (aim to cook for 20 people)

Meal helper: Help transport food from parking lot and set up the meal

Scrapbooker: Document Youth Camp, take pictures, videos, audio recordings, interview campers as appropriate and with notice

Module instructor: Lead campers in an educational, training, creative, community building, or recreational module
