1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Program Overview

Read a book to your infant, toddler or preschooler. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your child starts kindergarten. Does it sound hard? If you read 1 book a night, you will have read 365 books in a year. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around age 5, you have more time than you think, so get started! Reach the goal and help your child build the skills needed for future school and lifelong success. (You do not have to read 1,000 different books. If your child has a favorite book you read over and over count each time read as 1 book.)

How to Participate
