Students or parents submitting this application for students in Grades K-12 will be considered for Virtual courses for the following term: First and Second Semester 2022-2023.  Please note: Year-long programs/courses will be re-evaluated at the end of the first semester to ensure it is in the student's best educational interest to continue in the placement.

The Missouri Course Access and Virtual School Program (MOCAP) has developed a catalog of virtual online courses for students. MOCAP's mission is to offer Missouri students equal access to a wide range of high-quality courses, flexibility in scheduling, and interactive online learning.

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements in order for the district to the tuition fees associated with online course enrollments:

Student has attended a Missouri public or charter school for at least one full semester immediately prior to the course starting;
Student resides in Parkway and is enrolled as a full-time student;
Course pre-requisites have been completed;
Student is not carrying maximum academic load for the semester requested (i.e., this course would not be beyond the normal full load);
Student has demonstrated success in previous online courses (if applicable);
A school team has reviewed the request and made a "best educational interest" determination.

Applications are accepted from now until January 7, 2023, which is 10 days prior to the start of the semester.  Students requesting a course after the enrollment period may result in a denial of the request since it is not in the best educational interest of a student to begin a MOCAP course mid-semester.  The student may be approved to enroll in the same course during the following semester's enrollment period.
