Aldworth James & Bond: waste material giveaway registration form
Aldworth James & Bond is a creative fabrication company based in Deptford. We want to support the makers, designers and artists in Lewisham by giving away our off-cut material for you to use within your own projects.

We’ll be opening up our workshop on Saturday 27th July for local creatives to come along, select waste material and take it away for free. We use a lot of sheet material at Aldworth James & Bond, we efficiently nest this to minimise waste, however a degree of off-cuts is unavoidable.

We can't provide information of the materials or guarantee size, shape, or material type as it will depend on what projects we’re working on in the lead up to the giveaway – but, you can expect to see plywood, MDF, Valchromat and some natural timber.

If you would like to come along and have rummage through our off-cut bins, then register your interest and we will be in touch with further information about the day. Once you’ve taken away your material we ask you to send us photography of your completed projects to create a legacy portfolio signifying how waste materials can be reused and celebrated.

Please note, that you must be based in the Borough of Lewisham and we cannot deliver any materials to you, you must take them away on the day.

Date: Saturday 27 July 2019
Time: 11am-1pm
Address: Unit 305, 34-37 Parkside Business Estate, Rolt Street, London SE8 5JB

South East Makers Club 2019
In addition to our material giveaway, Aldworth James & Bond will host The Off-Cut Challenge, an exhibition showcasing the work of our team, as part of the South East Makers Club and London Design Festival. We challenged our crew to work in teams to utilise waste material to create a well finished, useful object. The exhibition highlights the importance of responsible fabrication and encourages a new look at how waste material can be used. The space will also include live CNC demonstrations and giveaways, encouraging visitors to get hands-on and enjoy the art of making.
