From that start date, expect to be AT THE PAC, every day, from Saturday, September 23, 2023 through Sunday, October 8, 2023 (STRIKE), MUST remain open for you to be a part of tech week. We will attempt to work towards a specific schedule with times so you can still continue to work. STUDENTS MUST have FULL availability during our tech week dates.
Please note that NO absences to tech week rehearsals will be allowed beyond what is stated and approved. Any potential absences MUST be identified on this form. Mariner Drama works alongside our choir, band, and art programs to insure minimal conflicts.
Performances are expected be Thursday, October 5th through Saturday, October 7th, 2023.
We are looking at possible student matinees on Thursday, October 5th and Friday, October 6th, 2023.
A parent/guardian/relative will be expected to volunteer in one or more ways to help with the efficient running of this show.
Expected CAST size is between twenty (20 ) to twenty-five (25) students.
Rehearsals will begin in June 2023 and continue through the performance dates in early October. Past shows have allowed for a more flexible come and go, but moving forward, starting with this show, absences will NOT be acceptable for putting together a quality show. Absences MUST be kept to a minimum.
ALSO, if you have had LOW grades, or are struggling, this is NOT the show to be a part of. Fair to low grades will result in immediate removal from this production.
Please note that NO absences to tech week rehearsals will be allowed beyond what is stated and approved. Any potential absences MUST be identified on this form. Mariner Drama works alongside our choir, band, and art programs to insure minimal conflicts.
PLEASE NOTE THAT REHEARSALS WILL occur on weekday evenings and throughout summer break.
Please note that we plan to put together our own costumes for this show. Each student will be responsible to assist in both the retrieval (if needed) and costs of his or her costume. It is our hope to keep costume costs down to a minimum.
We will be fundraising to help with the cost of this show. All students will be expected to participate and help promote any planned fundraisers.
Please also note that those that audition WILL be asked to rehearse and/or help out with any fundraisers and must make a strong effort to sell tickets to our shows.
Forms need to be filled out BEFORE auditions.
Please be aware that if you are currently receiving a D+ or lower in any of your classes that you SHOULD NOT apply. Eligibility will be a huge factor in determining who is part of this show.
If you are auditioning to be the next BIG "star," RATHER than be a part of an ensemble, you should NOT audition. HUGE egos and "diva-like attitudes" are NOT welcome in the Mariner Drama family.
We are about the journey. We are about each other. We aim to be about the Drama Family.
