King Street Bike Lane

As part of a larger set of safety improvements downtown, the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes the installation of a buffered bike lane with intermittent green paint along King Street, from Calhoun to Broad Streets. This would transform the corridor into a far safer environment by improving functionality and predictability for all travelers.

Whether or not you have previously submitted comments to SCDOT regarding this project, please sign our petition if you support the King Street proposal. We will share signatures with SCDOT and the City of Charleston as the agencies assess next steps. You are required to provide your name, address, and stake in order for your signature to be verified.
