Game Testing – Don’t Make me run, I’m full of chocolate
1.      Concept Statement

“Don’t make me run, I’m full of chocolate” is a 2D platforming concept that will have players seeking chocolate to keep their health up. The longer a player can survive, the higher their score. Players will have to race the clock as an AI is chasing them, and their health is always dropping. To keep the game interesting, some chocolate will give power-ups for players, while fruit and vegetables will have to give negative effects. This game is designed to be completed in 6 weeks with room to grow.

2.      Target Audience

The Target audience will most like be people aged 10-20. These players will most likely not have high-end gaming consoles and are looking for a casual quick game. Some maybe be looking to relive some old games with a new twist or just love the genre.

The market for this game is quite heavily saturated. This is mostly due to the low development cost. Some big games in this area are “Jetpack Joyride”, with over 100 million downloads from the Google play store alone. “Fancy Pants Adventures” with over 10 million downloads from the Google play store and “Temple Run” with over 500 million downloads from the Google play store.

Seeing the success of these games, which are objectively very simple to produce, there is a high demand for these games and a very large audience.

This game will have a similar playstyle but a different look and feel. Hopefully, this will be more of a comedy game rather than a serious high-score chasing concept. I am not trying to make a high addictive multi-million-dollar game.  However, I believe that if I can get some to laugh while playing this game, then I will have achieved my goal.
