Incident Report 
You can use this incident report to inform Blue Demon Theatre's Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion department about any problems you may have faced while working with us. These issues may include anything related to racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, sexism, classism, and any other forms of discrimination that may occur. All reports filed will be reviewed internally, and anything and everything that is submitted will be held privately with your discretion. 

The act of filing an incident report is to ensure that the community that we have created and continue to create is a safe place for every member of Blue Demon Theatre. With every report, we will take initiative action and have the problem resolved, so it doesn't happen again. We will hold the offenders accountable whether that be internally or externally. 

If you are unsure if your situation is worthy of filing an incident report, please refer to our Diversity, Inclusion & Equity statement:

​​A. Blue Demon Theatre will not tolerate harm against a member based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, parental status, housing status, source of income, or military status

B. Blue Demon Theatre welcomes and encourages diversity and self-expression in its environment and casting process. Members can elect to be cast in a gender affirming manner.

C. Blue Demon theater respects everyone’s gender pronouns and welcomes and honors all gender identities. Blue Demon theater will encourage members to share their pronouns and will create opportunities for pronouns to be shared during auditions, rehearsals, performances and other Blue Demon theater events.
  1. In an effort to ensure members' pronouns are respected within productions, The Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer will create a document for each production which includes names, roles and pronouns.
  2. Blue Demon Theatre will not tolerate intentional misgendering. Should the problem arise, directors and relevant board members will be expected to address continual misgendering of a production member.

D. Blue Demon Theatre will not appropriate cultures, races, or ethnicities in its productions.

E. Blue Demon Theatre will ensure that a character’s racial identity is reflected appropriately by the student when the identity of the role is integral to the storyline. Blue Demon Theatre will honor the cultural significance of the piece that is being performed.

F. Blue Demon Theatre’s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and will be ongoing with the intention of correcting and learning from missteps and mistakes. Should an issue arise, Blue Demon Theatre board members will address any harm that has been inflicted on any of our general body or audience members. This includes examining our own imperfections while also opening channels for members to express their concerns.
