This year, NeuWrite West and NeuWriteSD will be co-hosting our first ever SfN-sponsored Neuroscience and Writing Social! The social will be Tuesday, October 22nd, from 6:45-8:45pm at McCormick Place, near the conference center.

We will open with a panel about careers in science communication. We are very excited to have science communicators from a diverse range of careers serving on the panel, including:
Stuart Firestein (co-founder of NeuWrite; Columbia professor and author)
Nick Weiler (co-founder of NeuWriteWest; UCSF press office)
Sadie Witkowski (2018 AAAS Mass Media Fellow and host of the podcast PhDrinking)
Allan Lasser (CFO Massive Science)

After the panel, there will be an opportunity to mingle with the panelists, other science communicators, and NeuWriters from groups around the country, with snacks and a cash bar available.
