assistive tech for opening doors
I would like to design and fabricate an automatic door opener for interior doors. The device will include two parts: a mechanism to open and close the door, and a mechanism to unlatch the door (effectively, to turn the door handle). I would like to build a device that does not require any manipulation of the door or the home (such as changing the handle or screwing something to the wall.

I think this device could be used for people who need short term assistance, such as temporarily injured people, people visiting hotels, renting apartments, etc, without accessible rooms, and people who simply don't want to to alter their doors or walls.
