Those groups which regularly use the church must resubmit their request annually.  It is possible that a group may not receive approval for the same usage as they previously had because a group within Trinity has obtained usage of a certain area/time.
If your request requires a fee, that is due before the event will be scheduled on the church calendar.
*Fees - Members; $50, Non-Members: $175; Fees for business use will be approved by the church council.

Fees are required for, but not limited to; birthday, anniversary, graduation, first communion, confirmation parties, baby or bridal showers, baptism gatherings, etc.
Keys – Keys are required to be checked out through the church secretary when using the church, if available.  Keys must be returned to the church office within 24 hours of use, or if used on a weekend, by the following Tuesday.  A fee of $25 will be charged if a key is not returned or lost.   Do you agree to follow this rule? *

TLC / Building Use Policies & Guidelines
Trinity Lutheran Church is available for church ceremonies, functions, and events. It is available for community use, when available, for functions that respect the reverence and purpose of the church.

Trinity Lutheran Church program needs have priority over all other requests. Commitments to outside groups may have to be altered due to unexpected church needs such as a funeral.

*Fees for renting the building for an event. -Members $50.00
Need to be made at the time the event is scheduled. -Non-Members: $175.00
Fees for business use will be determined by the church council.

 
The following areas are to be respected and followed:
 

1. Keys – Keys are required to be checked out through the church secretary when using the church, if available.  Keys must be returned to the church office within 24 hours of use, or if used on a weekend, by the following Tuesday.  A fee of $25 will be charged is a key is not returned or lost.
2. Doors – For safety reasons, on most building use occasions, all doors will remain locked. If possible, once everyone for your event has entered the building, it is suggested that the doors be locked.  At the conclusion of your event you are responsible for locking all doors unless other arrangements are made.
3. Multiple Groups – On certain occasions, multiple groups may be meeting at the church.  Please take time to communicate with the other group(s) to arrange closing procedures such as responsibility for locking doors, turning off lights, taking out garbage, etc. If you need to request exclusive use of the church, please contact the church secretary as the church council approves such requests.
4. Garbage – If a large amount of garbage is created or if food is disposed of, your group must remove it by placing it in appropriate bags and placing it in the box outside the back door, unless other arrangements are made.  Please don’t waste bags by filling half full.
5. Room Assignment – It is expected that groups will use only the rooms they are scheduled to use. Children should be properly supervised at all times. Please respect the purpose of the building.
6. Care of the building – It is expected that the building be left in the same general condition as provided. All tables and chairs must be returned to their original location and set-up.  If windows were opened, be sure they are closed before leaving the building.
7. Equipment Use – Use of equipment such as TV/VCR/DVD, sound equipment, etc. must be arranged through the church secretary prior to your event.
8. Prohibited Use – Alcohol consumption and smoking are prohibited in the building and on church property.  
9. Scheduling Use – All building use must be scheduled through the church secretary.

Kitchen / Fellowship Hall Use

1. Borrowing – No items may leave the church, nor are we able to loan any items for personal use.  
2. Laundry – The serving group must launder their own towels following use.  Please return within 2 days, or before the next event, whichever is sooner.
3. Garbage – Please make sure bags are filled before taking out to the trash.  The garbage bin is located outside the back door.
4. Refrigerator – No food may remain in the fridge following an event.  Food for events may be brought in before an event, if they will not be in the way of church functions.
5. Tablecloths – Tablecloths in the closet and drawers are for the use of church events only.  Please wash and return them as soon as possible.  If any are damaged, please notify the church office.

Outside groups
The church secretary has the discretion to approve one time use events and monthly meetings facilitated by members (e.g. TOPS, Girl Scout troops, Boy Scout, etc.) as long as the event is respectful of the reverence and purpose of the church.  Use by non-members or a group that intends to generate income must be approved by the church council and will include a fee for use if approved.  This may include non-member weddings, showers, etc.
