Ethnographic Remote Recording: Application for the 2022-23 Advisory Team and Beta Testing
The project team is offering a beta testing program to work with scholars in a variety of disciplines and institutional types to work with our team to test, provide feedback, and engage in the development of our ethnographic remote recording application (for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets). Accepted applicants will become members of the overall Advisory Team, which will guide the app design. Members will also receive a ½ day remote training session, support for setting their project up in the system, and instruction on how to use the system for conducting their own remote ethnographic research.
The goal of this project is to create an open-source app that can be used for ethnographic research across a variety of fields. To that end, our aim is for the Advisory Team to comprise a diverse set of researchers housed at a variety of institutions.
The program is open to a variety of prospective applicants, including individual scholars, research teams and administrative units at a variety of academic institutions.
