Hello from the staff of the Multicultural Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock! We are glad to have you with us as part of our Trojan Family! Because we believe in you and your potential to succeed and obtain your degree, we would like to invite you to participate in the Student Affairs Diversity Initiatives (SADI).
The Student Affairs Diversity Initiatives are designed to empower, support, and assist students of color in achieving their goal of earning a college degree and preparing for life after graduation. Students can become involved SADI in one of two ways:
MENTEE: As a SADI mentee, you will be connected with a mentor team, consisting of a peer mentor (who is a current UA Little Rock student) and a professional mentor (who is a UA Little Rock faculty or staff member). You will also have the benefits listed for members below!
MEMBER: If you aren’t looking for a mentor but still want to be involved in SADI, become a member! You will have the opportunity to:
— attend trainings and workshops to develop your academic and personal skills
— participate in fun social activities on and off-campus
— get updates on volunteer, internship, and job opportunities
All SADI participants are also eligible for leadership opportunities on one of several committees:
— African American Female Initiative
— African American Male Initiative
— Hispanic/Latinx Initiative
— Cultural Events & Diversity Programming
We will provide you with support and resources at no cost to you. You simply have to sign up and we will connect you with our amazing team!
Hopefully, you are excited about starting (or continuing) your college career at UA Little Rock! We're excited to welcome you to our campus, and we want you to know that we are here to help you succeed and have a great experience despite the challenges we face.
