Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is an approach to religious formation for
children ages 3-9 that is rooted in the Bible, the Liturgy and the education
principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. It seeks to create and facilitate a
sacred, hands-on space called an "Atrium" where children gather to
hear the Word of God and work with simple yet beautiful materials that allow
them to encounter, learn and celebrate the essential mysteries and teachings of
the Roman Catholic faith in a hands-on way. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
is a mixed age program where children receive one-on- one and group
presentations, designed to meet their developmental needs, and foster their
relationship with God. To view a short informational/promo video on CGS please click here.
