Descriptions
The world's climate is changing drastically due to human actions and resulting natural calamities like frequent floods. Research shows that flood events will be more frequent and more alarming in the coming future. Most often, data generated by experts are difficult to understand for general people, policymakers and stakeholders. However, to be prepared for the future it is important to have a better understanding of research results.

FloodVis aims to visualize the ensemble flood forecasting in such a way that it will be easier and exciting at the same time for non-experts to understand the flood risks.

For the user study, we will show you some results from two different climate models CCCma3 and EC- earth in Non-VR and VR mode. Scenario A1B from CCCma3 represents rapid economic growth and scenario RCP8.5 from EC-earth represents a high-emissions scenario showing the lightly outcome if society does not concentrate on Greenhouse gas emissions. We would like you to compare different modes and answer the questions based on your experience.
