Use this form to submit your course requests for courses through Pickens County Virtual Academy Franchise. These are courses that 7th & 8th grade students may take for high school credits toward graduation and/or college admissions in addition to courses scheduled in Odysseyware.

You may also take courses through virtualSC.org when their enrollment windows are open to supplement courses scheduled through Odysseyware. See the VirtualSC.org website for more information. They will have some courses that Pickens Virtual will not offer, which includes more computer science courses and honors courses.

Once you make your selections, you need to schedule a meeting with your school counselor to go over your requests. Your counselor must approve your requests before you're enrolled in the courses. If you decide to drop any courses you requested, you need to email virtual@pickens.k12.sc.us. Include your name, your school, and which courses you wish to drop. In order to add courses, at any time, you will need to use this form.

Students in grades 6-8 will automatically be registered in Odysseyware for their core classes (English, math, science, and social studies). They'll be registered in PE/Health. They have some choice in their electives. Middle school students need to contact school counselors after July 22 to talk through choices for electives.

6th Graders
There are only 2 choices for 6th graders in VirtualSC or Pickens Virtual Franchise. They have more options in Odysseyware. Below, 6th graders may choose Exploring World Languages in SC and/or Introduction to Careers. You do not have to choose any on this form.

7th-8th Graders
There are choices below through Pickens Virtual Franchise. You have more elective options, especially for your computer science requirement, through VirtualSC. You MAY NOT take Physical Education 1 until you finish the 8th grade. You have other options in Odysseyware.  

It is important that you talk with your school counselor about your selections. Your school counselor will not approve your plan until you've had a conversation. This conversation can take place July 22-August 3. They are not currently in office, so email your counselor, and he or she will set up a time to meet with you.
